Description
TITLE: "Bought With Blood"
AUTHOR: Derek Prince
LOOK AT WHAT IS OURS THROUGH CHRIST'S ATONING WORK
At the Cross, Christ endured all the evil due us, and in turn made available to us all the good due Him. In this provocative, Scripture-rich book, acclaimed author Derek Prince explores the nine "divine exchanges" of the atonement. While we deserve punishment, wounding, death, poverty, shame and rejection, Christ instead give us forgievness, healing, life, abundance, glory and acceptance. Then Derek Prince shows five glorious aspects of deliverance made available through the atonement: deliverance from this present evil age, from the law, from self, from the flesh and from the world.
But it is not enough just to know about Christ's atoning work. Derek Prince presents the means by which we make the atonement true in our personal experience. He shows how we can lay hold of each divine exchange and aspect of deliverance through repentance, faith and a relationship with the Holy Spirit.
So it is that we appropriate the provisions of the atonement for all our needs. Powerful and life-changing, this book is a clear and definitive work on the atonement for every believer.
(Formerly published as "Atonement: Your Appointment With God")
About the AUTHOR:
DEREK PRINCE (1915 - 2003) was born in India of British parents. Educated as a scholar of Greek and Latin at Eton College and Cambridge University, England, he held a Fellowship in Ancient and Modern Philosophy at King’s College. He also studied several modern languages, including Hebrew and Aramaic, at Cambridge University and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
While serving with the British army in World War II, he began to study the Bible and experienced a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ. Out of this encounter he formed two conclusions: first, that Jesus Christ is alive; second, that the Bible is a true, relevant, up-to-date book. These conclusions altered the whole course of his life, which he then devoted to studying and teaching the Bible.
He is the author of over 50 books, many of which have been translated and published in more than 100 languages.
